Get Lit(erary) Is This Week!

Get Lit is Thursday at 7pm Join us for Veg or Sausage Lasagna from 5-7.  The readings begin at 7.  We will have a look at Shakespeare including some sonnets, a bit of Merry Wives of Windsor as well as a Trumpearian spoof.  This is followed by the Chekhov play, “The Proposal”–quite hilarious!

Celebrating 150 Years of Leinies
First Course: Flatbread-Brat, Goat Cheese and Caramelized Onions served with Canoe Paddler-Kölsch beers are crisp, clean, light-bodied beers that originated in Cologne, Germany in the early 1900s. The brilliantly clear Canoe Paddler features subtle hints of lemon grass and white pepper. Second Course:  Our own Gumbo
(Mardi Gras is coming!), rich with Andouille Sausage and Chicken served with Bavarian Dunkel-a medium bodied dark lager brewed with notes of cocoa, toasted malt and mild winter spices that blend perfectly with a hint of berries. Its rich taste and clean finish make it a great addition to a winter’s day spent cozying up by a fire.
Dessert: Cheesecake with Berries served with Berry Weiss (of course!)-Crisp weiss beer gets a little lift from an enticing blend of blackberries, elderberries and loganberries that are all indigenous to Wisconsin. Winner of the 2004 Bronze Medal and 2007 Gold Medal for Fruit and Vegetable Beer at the Great American Beer Festival®.
The cost is $25 per person for all beverages and food and possibly some bling!  Please call for reservations as seating is limited.
